Define the operating scenario

Record whether the equipment will remain beside a bed, move between rooms or accompany a patient outside the building. Note the available electrical supply, charging arrangements and the person responsible for setup. These details belong in the enquiry before model comparisons begin.

Compare delivery modes carefully

Ask the supplier to identify continuous-flow and pulse-dose operation separately. A pulse setting is not a universal litres-per-minute value. For a portable configuration, request the delivered oxygen specification and battery runtime at the intended setting rather than relying on an unloaded headline figure.

Check the complete configuration

One product page may cover several variants. Confirm which column of a specification table applies to the quoted unit and whether the battery, charger, trolley and connecting accessories are included. Do not combine the best values from different configurations into a single assumed specification.

Plan a controlled handover

Acceptance should include identification of the supplied unit, a check against the agreed specification, an explanation of alarms and a demonstration of routine care. Record the service contact and the response expected if power or the device fails. Treatment settings remain a clinical decision.
