Treat durability, energy use and repairability as separate procurement questions. A development target or a general description of a resilient device is not proof that a particular product meets those requirements.

Start with a site record

Document supply voltage, the pattern of interruptions, ventilation, dust exposure, ambient temperature and humidity. Ask the supplier to state the permitted operating and storage conditions. Record any mismatch before placing the order; a similar-looking unit may have different limits.

Make power planning explicit

Request running consumption and any startup information needed by the installation team. If a backup supply is proposed, have qualified personnel confirm capacity and compatibility for the complete installation. Do not infer solar suitability or battery endurance from an efficiency claim.

Ask what can be maintained locally

List routine tasks, the tools and consumables they require, and who is trained to perform them. Request a spare-parts list, replacement procedure and repair route. A low purchase price can be less useful than a configuration that the facility can keep in service.

Separate published specifications from missing evidence

The example product cards identify actual catalogue entries. They do not establish resistance to a particular climate, suitability for unstable power or compatibility with a solar installation. Keep those requirements open until supporting documentation for the offered configuration is supplied.

Agree an acceptance record

Before delivery, agree which documents, accessories and demonstrations will be checked. Assign a person to record commissioning, service events and downtime. This turns a broad request for a robust machine into responsibilities that the buyer and service team can verify.
