This model is suitable for usage training of adult men, nulliparous women and students, as well as premarital education teaching.
The 13kg abdominal module simulates the abdomen of a woman at 40 weeks of gestation. The liquid volume inside the uterine cavity can be adjusted to simulate the abdominal state of different gestational months.
Adopting wearable design, it supports prenatal examination training including Leopold's four maneuvers and breast care operation practice.
After wearing the model, trainees can experience a series of physiological discomforts caused by uterine enlargement during pregnancy, such as chest tightness, lumbago and frequent micturition. It also helps people understand various inconveniences brought by abdominal distension to pregnant women throughout gestation.
Warm water can be injected into the uterus to simulate the temperature of amniotic fluid; trainees can practice measuring uterine height and abdominal circumference.
The model can be adjusted to a posture close to real human body for villus sampling (8–10 weeks of gestation) and amniocentesis (16–20 weeks of gestation). The internal components are replaceable for repeated training.
