Widely applied in the identification of Gram-negative bacteria.
Bacteria of different genera and species possess distinct biochemical characteristics. This system incorporates 21 classic biochemical tests. All biochemical reaction results are converted into an octal number. By searching the provided standard database system, users can obtain the relative probability, T value and R value of the tested strain, so as to preliminarily identify the bacterial species.
The kit includes a 20-well biochemical identification strip plus one oxidase test strip. The test items are listed as follows:
ONPG, Arginine dihydrolase (ADH), Lysine decarboxylase (LDH), Ornithine decarboxylase (ODC), Citrate utilization (CIT), Hydrogen sulfide production (H₂S), Urease (URE), Lactose fermentation (LAC), Indole test (IND), Voges-Proskauer test (VP), Gelatinase (GEL), Glucose fermentation (GLU), Mannitol fermentation (MAN), Inositol fermentation (INO), Sorbitol fermentation (SOR), Rhamnose fermentation (RHA), Sucrose fermentation (SAC), Melibiose fermentation (MEL), Amygdalin fermentation (AMY), Arabinose fermentation (ARA), Oxidase test (OX).
5 blood collection needles, 5 record cards, 1 user manual.
1 inoculating loop, 2 sterile 100 μl pipette tips, 1 100 μl micropipette, mixer, alcohol lamp, refrigerator, incubator, marking pen.
Sterile liquid paraffin, 0.85% sodium chloride normal saline, 1 set of VP reagents, 1 bottle of Kovacs indole reagent. Products from Hopebiol are recommended.
1 nutrient agar or tryptic soy agar plate.
Store at 2–8°C away from light and use within the shelf life. All experiments shall be performed under sterile conditions to ensure valid test results.
