This model shows the positions of human internal organs and anatomical structures of the head, demonstrating major human systems including respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems.
The right half of head and neck displays skull, masseter muscle, temporalis muscle and other tissues with an eyeball inside the orbit. A sagittal cut is made on head and neck; the cranial cavity holds the right cerebral hemisphere, and twelve pairs of cranial nerves are presented on the ventral side of the brain. It also exhibits nasal cavity, oral cavity and larynx, including laryngeal cavity, laryngeal ventricle and rima glottidis. Parathyroid glands are located behind the lateral lobe of thyroid gland.
The two lungs in thoracic cavity are frontally sectioned to reveal internal lung structures. The heart is coronally dissected to show structural differences between left and right atrioventricular chambers. Cardiac vessels such as superior & inferior vena cava, pulmonary artery, pulmonary vein and aorta are clearly displayed for teaching systemic and pulmonary circulation.
