The detachable head, neck and torso model is divided into 19 components. It shows the positions of human internal organs and anatomical structures of the head, demonstrating major human anatomical systems including respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems.
The half-sectioned head and neck display the skull, masseter muscle, temporalis muscle and other structures with an eyeball inside the orbit. A sagittal cut is made on the head and neck to present the nasal cavity, oral cavity, laryngeal cavity, laryngeal ventricle, rima glottidis and parathyroid glands.
The two lungs in the thoracic cavity are frontally sectioned to reveal internal lung structures. The heart is coronally dissected to illustrate structural differences between the left and right atrioventricular chambers. Cardiac blood vessels including superior and inferior vena cava, pulmonary artery, pulmonary vein and aorta are clearly marked for teaching systemic and pulmonary circulation.
