This model presents the moderately distended stomach, clearly displaying gastric folds, pyloric valve, pyloric sphincter, gastric mucosa and the transitional mucosa between esophagus and stomach.

It marks the anterior wall, posterior wall, lesser curvature and greater curvature of the stomach. The peritoneum on the anterior stomach wall is removed to show the orientation of three layers of smooth muscle fibers.
